Amazing screen and frame but... |

When I got the screen watched the tutorial video on the site. With the toolkit, the process was simple! All was running smoothly until I went to put the phone back together. After closing the case I pressed the Home button to try it out... Nothing. However, the lock screen button brought up the screen like normal. So after a bit of investigation I noticed that only one of the two contacts for the home button was present. The other had broken off before being shipped to me. (I know this because I took everything out of the package on a static mat, and no parts were left)
After a bit of trial and error, I was able to rig the missing contact strip to still make contact with the other side of the contacts. Home button works fine!
The quality of the screen and the tutorial video make this an amazing deal. I would immediately give this product 5 stars had it not been for the contact issue. Buy with confidence, because I'm sure my issue is very rare.

I just finished installing my iPhone 3GS screen kit,(digitizer, glass and frame)it went absolutely smoothly! It works great! After buying two "cheap" ones on Amazon, that both arrived broken, I gotta say, this one is of great great quality and packaged well. They also had great customer service when I had to call in with questions. Although they did forget to include the tool kit that I purchased, I can overlook that, I was able to get it done easily. I'm sure they'll make it right. Small tip: There is a screen protector on the digitizer (inside of the assembly). When removing, be careful not to take off the black gasket ring that is between the digitizer and the protection screen. It's suppose to stay in place to keep dust and debris from getting between the glass/digitizer and the LCD screen. This is an excellent product, high quality and easy to install with a helpful staff. Thank you,

I bought this yesterday and installed it in about 15 mins. The video was very helpful and really didn't miss anything.
I also have an iPhone 3G w/ a cracked glass panel that i haven't used in over a year. I just ordered the replacement part for that phone so hope to get it tomorrow.
I'd pass on the $10 kit as the screwdriver didn't work for me, but I had a good #00 screwdriver that worked well. Since its Christmas time you can use any ornament suction cup if you have one laying around.
